I pre-blasted bring gloves. I was ridiculed and harangued. But in the end, everyone was thankful they had gloves for the White Oak Workout. Yep, my neighbor took down a sizeable white oak in his front yard and I tossed a bit of it in the back of my truck and took it to BIB. We moseyed up to the big parking lot, sorta kinda did a few warm up exercises in cadence because @termpaper wasn’t there. As this is S. Cary we did Side Straddle Hops. Then we wandered over to the truck and everyone picked out a log.
I called “control freak elevens”. Squat thrusts at the bottom and rock your body at the top running the length of the parking lot. Exercise, run up, exercise, run back, pause and wait for the PAX. Rotate left to logs, and do it all over again. At some point we played “guess the age of the truck”. Oofda won. Apparently Cauliflower has a truck old enough to have been build by Fred Flintstone.
We did some prisoner lunge walks to kill a little time. Tossed the logs back into the truck and ran back to the flag for some rolling sprints and a little mary.
Prayers for Chipper, Kwik Stop, A friend of the family of Laloosh, Prescot, and the the students, teachers, and parents of the students at Cary.
Thank you gentlemen for allowing me to lead. The rain held off and we did some stuff. What a great start to the day!
