Today’s theme was “Rock your Body” which consisted of, you guessed it, rock work. We started with quick intros to Nutria, a PAX visiting from Gastonia. We recited the Pledge in unison and then headed to the lower parking lot for warm-ups.
Once we all got warm, we headed to the rock pile to grab a rock. YHC suggested something not to light, but not too heavy…Something just right! PAX carried their rock overhead back to the basket ball court. We then proceeded to do our rock work (See below):
Circuit 1 (3 rounds) – Rock Rows (10), Overhead Press (10), Squat (10)
Circuit 2 (3 rounds) – Press (10), Front Lateral Raises (10), Calf Raises (10)
Circuit 3 (3 rounds) – Curls for Gurls (10), Overhead Tricep Ext (10), Merkins (10)
Circuit 4 (3 rounds)- Skull Crushers (10), Pull-Overs (10), Squat Press (10)
After each round of exercises we ran from courts to the top of the lot.
We finished up with alternating plank hold and chilcut and then overhead carried the rocks back to the rock pile.
Prayers for Breezy, Breezy’s FIL (Jerry) and a friend of YHC’s family who is going through Chemo.
Finally, we had the pleasure of having Nutria join us from Gastonia. He liked it so much he hung around for coffee.
