Much was learned this morning at Stonecutters. We started with a warmup and some arm stretching (including a new exercise I’m calling “flock of seagulls”) and then a forwards and backwards mosey where we learned that reverse lunge walking is much more difficult than forward lunge walking. We also learned about Jordache jeans and permed hair.
Then we did 3 rounds of what I called “last man merkining”, which is kind of like a ring of fire but everyone keeps doing merkins to failure until there is only one man remaining. Chipper won the first round, Yoga Mat and Bubba won the second round, and Breezy won the third round. We learned that failure can be fun (thanks Lite Brite) and we also learned that Breezy likes to count.
We then partnered up and did 3 supersets each of squats/WWII’s, money humpers/LBC’s, and dips/dirkins. We talked with our partners about what goals we wanted to accomplish by the end of this year, and our partners were instructed to keep asking “why” until we got to the root motivation of our goals.
Woven throughout the workout were 1,500 total reps of various kinds of 100’s. Every 8 minutes, we stopped and did a set of hallelujah 100’s, upright row 100’s, and standard 100’s. Things got a little contentious at one point when Breezy questioned the Q’s choice of 8 minutes, and there may have even been an F bomb dropped at one point coming from the direction of the peanut gallery. The 5th set of 100’s started as planned at minute 40, and we were somehow able to finish and get back to the flag right on time. It’s almost as if it was planned that way.
Some goals were shared with the group during COT and we asked the Lord to help guide us along the way. Let’s be sure to be there for each other and hold each other accountable. MIAGD.
