Yes, men do spend way too much time thinking about the Roman Empire. The triumvirate of Qs made its debut on this cold Thunderstruck morning.

The pledge was beautifully and dutifully recited in unison and we were off to the warmup-races. Quick mosey around the Harris Teeter where we spent a few minutes warming up and stretching in typical SCary fashion. Kudos to the FNG for finding us and entering stage-left. Moseyed on back to home base for the main course.

10 minute Thang 1 (@Sherpa)

2 rounds of tabata-exercises. Each round consisted of 5 sets, each set lasting 1 minute.

    ▪    Set 1 – 20 sec High knees, 20 sec Mountain climbers, 20 sec recovery
    ▪    Set 2 – 20 sec Jump squats, 20 sec in and out squats, 20 sec recovery
    ▪    Set 3 – 20 sec High knee rope climbs, 20 sec cross-leg mountain climbers, 20 sec recovery
    ▪    Set 4 – 20 sec chill-cut reaches, 20 sec chill-cut knee to elbow drives, 20 sec recovery
    ▪    Set 5 – 40 sec burpees, 20 sec recovery

10 minute Thang 2 (@Doula)

@Doula took us across the parking lot and started us off with a set of hundreds, the last 10 of which he counted like he was running Fortnight on a Chromebook with 2GB of RAM💻. He promised us a merk-pyramid and he delivered a mere-pyramid. We counted down from 6 and finished with exactly zero seconds left on the clock. Well done @Doula; pretty impressive for a workout you pulled out of the ether with zero planning. I am sure he was inspired by the 10-round merk-pyramid beatdown, courtesy of @HGTV at JIU this past Monday.  

10 minute Thang 3 (@WebMD)

When @WebMD Qs, you know he’s going to make you run and run often. In typical fashion, he took us around a 1-mile 4 corners style spin (longest 4-corners to date). Quarter mile run to the first corner where we did 10 merkins, another quarter mile run where we did 10 LBCs in cadence, and then the other 2 quarter mile stops included simple-squats and burpees, 10 of each. Made it back to home base with time left for 4 minutes of Mary.

Good to welcome a FNG, first one in a while, at least for all the postings I have done. We christened him as @schnitzel (the man is of German descent after all).
