6 of us visited the luxurious Nakatomi Plaza on this brisk morning. The pax arrived to find spent brass casings and a list of 12 Days of Bells. The playlist was a mix of Christmas upbeat hits and songs from 1988 when one of the best Christmas movies, Die Hard, was released.
A quick introduction and then a pickle lap to start the warmup.
Good Mornings, Imperial Walkers, Sir Fazio Arm Circles, Overhead Claps, Hillbillies, Reverse Sir Fazio Arm Circles, Seal Claps, and one more pickle lap.
Now on to the workout. The pax had a list of 12 exercises to help keep them on track. We would do the 12 days of Christmas format but with bells. There was a catch though, I did not account for the minimum 100 bell swings until last night so after each round we would perform 5 bell swings before recovering.
Perform exercise 1 then 5 swings
Perform exercise 2 then 1 then 5 swings
Perform exercise 3 then 2 then 1 then 5 swings
And so on….
1 Burpee
2 Halos
3 Push presses
4 Bent over rows
5 KB swings
6 Alternating lunges
7 Deadlifts
8 Curls
9 Goblet squats
10 Oblique crunches
11 Upright rows
12 Merkins
After completing the climb up the tower we did a quick Mary with LBC’s followed by a Hans Gruber Have a Nice Day!
It was great to Q and lead these men on a mid 20° morning. It’s been too long since I’ve done so.
Announcements of the Oakwood 24 and the Tour de LightMere this Friday.
Prayers for McCants and his recent foster kids as they settle with new family and for everyone traveling this week and around Christmas.
