High-tempo workout with a focus on cardio to elevate our heart rate on this Valentine’s Day. That means we did a lot of running and ran up a lot of steps.
Warmup consisted of high knees with a some ascending burpee variations mixed in. Then we ran around and went up a bunch of flights of steps and did exercises at the top of each flight. We did not go down any steps.
Total exercises included:
80 standard merkins + 20 diamond merkins
80 squats
80 LBC’s
25 burpees (20 plus the 5 during the warmup)
Stretches between each round
Finished with a 1/2 mile jog back to the parking lot, capped off with an all-out sprint.
