PAX (not in Slack): None
FNGs: None
COUNT: 10
There was ☔️ in the forecast, but the silver lining of mid-50 degrees weather brought out 10 HIMs on this soggy Saturday March morning. Hat-tip to you legends.
YHC had a mind to cover at least 4 miles with some bootcamping in the 45 minutes allotted to the main event. With that plan in my back o jet and some fresh legs on tow, we slow-moseyed on to the boat-dock for our usual SCary warmups. SCary stretches were intentionally left out. Mosey on to the THANG!
The THANG was a lot stretch of 11s with squats at one end of the street and WW2s at the other. 11s always covers a lot of distance and that was the ultimate goal. This felt like a beatdown (at least for YHC) and I was sucking for air by the time the end drew nigh. Perhaps it was some good MOAB-training for the PAX.
Proceeded to slow-mosey on through some interesting and obscure greenway trails where the Nantan had a violent bout with some trail debris; glad to report that he came out on top unscathed.
Stopped at another entrance to a neighborhood and this is where we performed out yoga style stretches (pigeon-pose, calf-stretches, runners pose, and extended arms. Perhaps it’s best to stretch towards the end rather than the beginning of a workout 🤔.
With minutes left on the shot clock we did our final moseying until we were back to the shovel-flag.
COT: Put your name on the Highland Games signup sheet (what are you waiting for fellas). Kudos to @kittylitter for 51 straight posts. Straight up HIM. Prayers and praises to @jigglypuff’s and his son Gus who turns 6 today. Prayers for unspoken needs as well (you know we all have them).
We got wet with the rain, we got drenched with sweat, we got exhausted with the work, but above all we were satisfied with the results. 💪🏼work fellas.
Love u all and MIAGD!
