After the Pledge and Mission, the Tesla trunk opened up to curiously reveal a bunch of nice, smoothly-polished rocks, and each person was instructed to take one.

We learned that a Shield Lock is “a group of 3 to 5 men who form the horizontal relationships that protect and enrich us all.” The 3 P’s of a Shield Lock are Proximity, Purpose, and Periodic. Our workout was designed to simulate these ideas.

We partnered up and went on our way, carrying our rocks and sharing the burden. We stopped 5 times along the way for sets of 20 overhead presses. In between stops, we discussed topics with our partners such as what our current support system looks like, what are our unique gifts (aka our “Dolphin”), and what is our purpose.

It was then revealed that our overall Purpose was to return the rocks to where they belong: Ritter Park, the location of Stonecutters where we did a flyby. ✅

And what do you know, at Ritter we just so happened to find the Wheel Of Pain waiting for us. ✅ The spins of the Wheel resulted in alternating side squats and Freddy Mercs, which just so happened to be the remaining exercises to complete the Daily Dora Challenge, plus utilize the new pull-up bars at Ritter.

Jogged back to the flag taking turns carrying the Wheel. Got back with about a minute to spare where we laid down for HAND and thought about our Purpose until time expired. Grateful for the support system we have here. MIAGD.
