The final round of the Badda MTB tour did not disappoint either. 36 mph in the woods is …different. What an end to an epic trip. Supercross starts in 3 min to cap it all off. Time to start planning next years adventure.

Badda MTB Tour stop #3 at Coldwater Mtn is going to be tough to top. EPIC trails of all sorts and flavors – fast, flowy, chunky, technical – left nothing to be desired. Weather dome that travelled with has also resulted in prime conditions. Stop #4 in Birmingham has a very very high bar to clear. Also, legs are trashed.

Badda MTB tour stop #1 was a success. Only one minor mechanical and “the best downhill run I’ve ever ridden” by Badda’s dad. Multiple PR’s for elevation gained, legs are warm for stop #2. On to Paris Mtn for the tour de Greenville leg.

4 ran the 5-mile standard Dough It route, and discussed Adversity, while 1 charted his own path for a longer 8-mile option and surely contemplated 3rdF thoughts while navigating treacherous terrain. Great discussion today about Adversity. Bottom line, when you are faced with adversity, hard work and prayer go a long way. I think we”re getting the formula for this new 1stF + 3rdF AO format pretty well dialed in.

Mosey to warmup and then some stretching and calls to warm up the shoulders. Over to the hidden pile. Full body covered with pickles after each 3 exercise round. Pax choice for some and even some music after round 1.

3 EC’ed a KB Mile. 10 were there to start with the pledge and off we go. Mosey to the other side of the lake to warmup. Then a somewhat faster pace up the infamous hill to put out a fire.

Over to the deck for a demonstrated BLIMPS turned pain train. Wrap it up and down the stairs to the other stairs for some calf raises. Mosey down the dark trail to the lake and around to the bridge for a bear crawl. Continue on our lakeside tour to the back of the stage for yet another calf raise call. Back to the flag lead by a CJ sprint. HAND!

6 to kickoff my 6 years week. I had this idea since our MOAB Q in January. However the kettlebell mile was an added twist

Started off with a kettlebell mile and it was a fun as advertised. We finished it in just under an 11:30 pace according to Strava but my watch said 11:10 when it beeped at 1 mile. I’ll take it! Strong work by all.

Next I explained the 2nd thang. Impossible Mile training.
1/8 mile burpee broad jump then recovery run to start
1/8 mile lunge walk then recovery run
1/8 mile bear crawl then recovery run
1/4 mile faster paced run

We recovered to grab our bells and run them back to the flag. In honor of Nabs and Mayflower we did 10 merkins then some Freddy Mercurys to wrap it up.
