A fiesty group of Pax ran some suicides over by the medical center along with some other exercises mixed in. 3 burpees every time you got back to the start. The first two rounds were variations of merkins at each of 4 stops, plus 30 dips and 30 squats at the end. The last round had various ab exercises plus 30 derkins and monkey humpers. Finished with some Mary. It was good to see a few of our favorite visitors. Lots of events happening around the super region. Circled up for COT and thought about the men on either side of us. MIAGD.

Apologies for late backblast.

18 pax showed up early for the post Halloween workout, obviously topped up on “stolen” candy. T’was cold and a tad windy but we got through it all in one piece.

Mozied on to the Whole Foods parking lot where we did the usual SCary warmups. Pigeon-stretches thrown in for good measure.

Main course was centered around a deck of playing-cards, straight from the F3 online store. Divided into 2 teams, draw 2 cards; 1st was the exercise and 2nd the rep-count (ace-card was 100 reps). We sensed the decks were being manipulated because Team 2 kept drawing the ace-card . All good because it just meant team 2 just ended up getting a better workout.

Returned to the flag and finished with a few more exercises as the timer expired.

COT – Some announcements were made unspoken prayers and praises were expertly delivered by YHC.

What a wonderful morning at South Carey’s finest standard Wednesday Boot Camp. We had 25 between the Cleaver runners, walkers, and boot campers.

We started with a brief warm-up in the Gonza lot, then moseyed to the Whole Foods lot for a serpentine jog across the aisles, broken up by quick 5 burpee sets. We then counted off by ones and twos in preparation for the thing.

The groups alternated running loops around the Waverly outskirt buildings, and doing a set of AMRAP Dora exercises, ending with Burpees and the Burger King. We weaved back through the main complex to find the incline near the flag for some clock Merkins, followed by a lightning Mary round to finish up.

Announcements – moving TCP families on Saturday, followed by shooting at Riptides, followed by Meatfest at Prodigal’s.

We lifted up a praise for Hallmark’s 14 yr anniversary and a prayer that we might find ways to deny ourselves today. MIAGD!!

My first trip south of the border in quite some time and it was great to be welcomed by so many of the Pax – thanks all.

Amway brought along his brother, our FNG. He’s an artist up in NY state, where he focuses on detailed, specialist painting techniques on sculptures. Hence Sherwin (Williams). Great to have him in the group.

We did a short warm up on the basketball court followed by a mosey to a local neighborhood hill. Sevens with merkins and star jumps, running backward up the hill, recovering forwards down.

Return to the basketball court as the base for a classic Dora – 100 merkins, 200 squats, 300 LBCs.

Head to the shelter for a few rounds of dips, lr step-ups, incline merkins and Homer to Marges.

Back to the flag for Freddie Mercs, heels to heaven, mountain climbers and tricky balancing planks.

Announcements – TCP on Sunday (Hermes); @riptide is organizing a group of men to help a family move next weekend (Sat 28th). He needs two more people.
Open Concept, in memory and celebration of his friend David Lloyd, and to raise awareness of ALS, will be hosting an event on Nov 3rd.

A scenic tour of the fountains and lakes of Point Bellagio. Tempo count (3:1, 1:3, 2:2) sets of standard merkins, squats, CDDs, and lunges were interspersed with moseying around in the dark of Loch Lomond. Frogs were seen (or not), snakes were on vacation.
