A great crowd this morning at Thunderstruck gathered to pay homage to a couple of local HIMs.
Mosey, warmups, and venture into Glenridge. Throughout workout any time we saw a car we stopped what we were doing and played it cool (squat hold and read newspaper). We traveled to various houses and culdesacs with two special stops at casa de Tonnage and casa de Snip. Added a new exercise at each stop along the way.

Ten HIMs gathered in the frozen tundra of Stonebridge Village for a warming set of BLIMPS.

We then had the people’s choice between the chair or balls to the wall, both and neither were enjoyable.
On our way back to the flag we were able to get in a set of dips and irkins. This left just enough time for some Chillcut-ing before we really start having a nice day.

First Q of 2025, and only 15 more to go based on @OTW’s goals for me this year. The moto for today was to finish what you started, so I finished the workout from my last Shepard’s Watch Q that I did with the ABC’s of F3. We only made it through half of my extra large Winkie that day, so my goal today was to make it through the other half. We started with some PT exercises for the warm-up, and then moved into the F3 Fit Games (Thang 2 from my original workout) where you partner up and race other teams by doing a series of exercises at each island across the parking lot. Once that was completed after my expert explanation of how it worked, we then completed the ABC’s of F3 but started at Z and finished on Q. Some questionable exercises were called by the PAX included X Squats and Y Squats, but YHC did not have his phone to verify these so we went with it. We ended with the Quadraphilia which is a real exercise (f3nation.com/post/quadraphilia). Thanks to everyone who has pushed me to Q more. Prayers for OTW with a sick kid, those dealing with the wildfires in California, and French Licks 2.0 who got a concussion. MIAGD!

8 bootcampers and 1 walker on a chilly morning in south South Cary.

Mosey to get warm before warmups by HT. Then a mosey over to Chipotle for the one and only thang.

A new F3 deck of cards was debuted amidst much excitement and fanfare. Pax drew a card in a rotating fashion and led/counted that exercise for the group. High point of the workout was the American Hammers counted by Dumas.

There was a pre-announcement for the Highland Games sometime in the March/April time frame. DDD before that on 2/22.

19 Gathered to up their game this morning

One would expect and flawlessly-run Q from a guy who has now Q’d 60 times since the launch of South Cary. The hecklers were out in full force today but the Q was unshaken and of course rock solid.

After a quick warmup in a neighborhood where some guy clearly thought we looked suspicious, we ventured into what was described as “the edge of Holly Springs” where we proceeded to work our way back by inflating some BLIMPS at each light pole.

Then we got back to HT and partnered up for some running around the building and bear crawling and deflating those BLIMPS. For that, we ended right where we started which could not have been planned any better. You’re welcome.

Then we did a bear crawl and tuck jump thang. Then back to the flag for a round of “last man merkining”. A few guys started late but Bayonne still managed to use his old man strength to out-merkin everyone.

Lots of announcements (check Slack), including a meta-announcement from Term Paper to watch out for an upcoming announcement for DDD in the next 30 days. Always a great time fellas. MIAGD.

5 HIM joined YHC for a post 50th birthday bash.

The fun started with an Indian run to the warmup area where YHC gave props for proper execution of Michael Phelps by SCary pax.

We successfully navigated our way to the Publix parking lot for a 4-corners extravaganza consisting of Star jumps, Navy Seal Burpees, Bobby Dall Toe-Touchers and jump squats rounding it out. Half the running was backwards because why not. Four glorious and memorable laps were made and we all got stronger.

We snake ran our way across the way where 7’s ensued with hand release merkins and big boy sit-ups. Another snake run brought us back to the flag where fast feet up/downs, a few core exercises and 50 celebratory LBC’s closed out the fun.

Prayers for our NC neighbors out west impacted by Helene and a South Wake Pax, Best In Show who’s recovering from brain surgery.

10 souls came out for what was supposed to be an Iron PAX Challenge recovery day but instead received a 5 inning beatdown on the F3 baseball diamond. F3 baseball is nothing like real baseball, except there are bases and there might also be some whining.

Ended with newly coined sir fazio wrist circles to ease of pain from crab walking. I believe the passerbys were very impressed with this.

Great work by the men and great to see DEET out there with us!

It was, in fact, a beautiful day at Stonebridge. After the pledge and some stretches, we set out for some pearls on a string. We traversed Ten Ten multiple times as we made our way to Trinity Church. We stopped at every intersection for some LBCs. We then circumnavigated Trinity stopping at every light pole, alternating between merkins and. Squats. Then we returned to the flag just in time for some Chilcutt. The traffic was heavy but OTW kept everyone safe.
Prayers for Kitty Litters coworker who lost his son at 19 yo to a motorcycle accident. Lord be with that family in their time of grief.
