4 for a non-:turtle: EC down to Kildare and back. An additional 30 gathered for a New Year’s Day Region-Anniversary Site-Launch extravaganza! We had an FNG, so we stumbled through the mission and core principles on the way to a FOLLOW ME around the small pickle to the dock for warmups. The PAX counted off by 1s and 2s and we headed for the rock pile.

Kitty Litter kept the 1s for rock work and Jigglypuff took the 2s for 7s on the hill. We flipflop’d after 10 minutes and repeato’d. Reconvene to put the rocks back and mosey to the flags.

At the flags, Mary consisting of the exercises created by the PAX last year – the M2H, Stingray Merkins, Stifler’s Mom, and CFH2M. Serious thanks to OTW for breaking up the motif – maybe we can explore a different part of the body this year.

COT where we named FNG Bruce ‘DeVito’ since he is the self-proclaimed shortest of his brothers. Hope to see him out again soon!

Prayers lifted up for Jerry’s family and for the new babies in our region (Brie spoken, Renfield unspoken). Huge praises for 2025 and our region – what a privilege to be a part of this and push to make each other better every day.

Twas the morning before Christmas when all through SCary HIMs were stirring coffee at Mojo Dojo Casa House.

Fun fact of the day: Clocking over an hour workout, MDCH is rivaled by only MOAB in all of SCarpex.

Can’t think of a better way to kick off Christmas Eve than a little1st F and whole lotta 2nd F! MDCH saw over 50% ruck/weighted vest participation which has to be some sort of record. Roughly 3 pots of coffee consumed and a 100% Christmas left by a HIM at the other table. 8 is the optimal number for MDCH, fits 2 booths perfectly. Candied bacon will be consumed in at least two SCary households in the next 24 hours. And college sports is broken with no clear solution in sight…

Turns out that sweating to the oldies and cutting stones is a match made in heaven!

After a brief warm up, we headed over to the cones of joy (not to be confused with the cones of pain).
We went round and round, increasing reps of a given exercise by 1 at each cone before resettting after 10. Modes of transport were varied. A custom playlist of Oldies kept us motivated and intrigued. A fun time was had by all.

Warm-up : After the pledge, we headed to the boat launch for a few regular exercises

The Thang: 4 corners around the disc golf course with 3 rounds of ascending 5, 10, 15, 10 reps of burpees then CDDs then Bonnie Blairs

Mary: 5 mins of plank hold exercises with as close to 100% participation as you’re going to get with Astro in attendance

And with that, WWW8 comes to a close. Thank you to all that have had an impact in my life over the last 8 years. Without F3 I would have never ran more than 3 miles, done the BRR, Tuna Run, various CSAUPs and definitely would not have done R2R2R. Other than the physical benefits, I’ve appreciated the diversity of thought that comes out in the gloom and coffeeteria. As humans, we tend to gravitate to like minded people and F3 has provided an opportunity for conversations with men that have challenged my opinions and point of view on many topics.
