First cold morning of the year didn’t scare away the HIMs of South Cary!

We celebrated the MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT of the Christmas party this morning.

Mosey over to Craft for warmups including 12 imp walkers, 19 SSH, and 24 merkins. Moseyed around the lake stopping for 12 diamond merks, 19 wide grip merks and 24 standard merks along the way. Stopped by Craft OTW back for a quick round of Pax called exercises which was abruptly ended after Wings called burpees and made me actually do them.

Back to the best pavement in South Cary for three rounds of 4 corners. 12 reps, 19 reps and then 24 reps.

Back to the flag for popcorn mary where the pax were instructed to call exercises and could do either 6 or 9 reps. Most listened. HAND. We welcomed Silk to the fold and regret not naming him Deez. Or Linus. E*Trade joined us from Raleigh to support Silk.

Sometime your Winke is way too long, and while that usually is not the case for me, it sure was today. I continued the theme of Culture Week in which we focused on Leadership and FNG’s. Astro, Bubba and IC Light shared their F3 stories during our warm-up, and then we did roughly a 2 mile mosey with stops along the way with the ABC’s of F3. At each stop, the PAX had to say a workout corresponding to the letter we were on, and every PAX had to participate. The PAX who called it, led the workout. KittyHawk and Dookie experienced leading an exercise for the first time, which was great to see. On the way back, there was a few comments about safety, mainly from the downrange PAX. We only completed to letter P before the end of the workout, and didn’t even get to Thang 2 on the winke. Looks like I need to take a shot at Qing MOAB some time given how long my winke is. I missed my bald brothers today as there was way too much hair represented today. Thanks for the opportunity to lead, and I look forward Q’ing SW sometime in early 2026. MIAGD.

Another glorious cool morning in the gloom. A strong showing, as expected at Fridays Premier 0530 workout. A founding father showed up to take the departing site Q’s spot for the day. Warmup at HT, Dora at the hilly pickle, greenway mosey, under the Tryon and through the woods to Unitards house we go. Freddy Mercury followed by Hello Dollys in the drive. Shortcut to the soccer fields for some bear crawls and lunge walks.

Short Mary back at the church with Pax choice. OTW called “Cat Scratch Fevers” out of the blue! HAND!

Go camping, eat some BBQ, get some culture, go bowling! MIAGD!

15 went on the pilgrimage to Ben Franklin to celebrate the Mets advance to the NLCS. The last time this happened my wife was six weeks pregnant with our first, I had most of my hair, and I was just getting back into running. All pre-F3.

We circled around the church and warmed up in the courtyard. There was yelling. And stargazing.

We gathered up and did lunge walks and bearcrawls near the mulch, which gave us a perfect view to Grisham coming in hot. Circle back for Grisham and head west on Tryon.

We started the Thang by gifting Ben Franklin a Mets hat in honor of the defeat of his hometown team. The Thang was 7s on the greenway hill with in-cadence merkins at the bottom and squats at the top. At the top, single merkin + three hallelujahs to rub it in just a little bit.

Back to the flag pausing for shoulder taps and finish it up with a modified four corner merkin ladder on the soccer field. H2H, Hammers, and Homer2Marge at the flag. Long Have A Nice Day. That’s it!!

This morning’s workout started with a quick intro and pledge. We then moseyed to the parking lot across the street for warmups (SSH, Hillbillies, Good Mornings, Calf Stretches, Runner’s Stretches and Merkins.

YHC lead the PAX down Tryon to the Tunnel where we did 11s which consisted of Burpees at the far end of the tunnel and plank jax at the top of the hill on the near side of the tunnel. Clear instructions were not provided b/c some PAX attempted to cut the distance wanting to do exercises at each end of the tunnel. Clarity was provided and all was good after that.

Once we concluded the 11s, a few rounds of core exercises were performed before heading back to the SW parking lot. On our way back to the parking lot we made a few random stops for monkey humpers and American Hammers (in honor of Chipper’s leadership launching SW).

We had a few minutes to kill once we arrived at the SW parking lot so we did a quick Thang 2 which was the Triple Check. It was simple to do, but too much to explain here (if interested you can look it up in the F3 Exicon). We finished out with the plank hold.

It was great to be back at the Premier AO in South Cary (and I’ll go as far as saying the Greater Carpex Region). Thank you for the opportunity to lead this great group of HIM. May we go forth and encourage and lift each other up (everyone around us) as we did this morning.

15 for Power Hour with various weights/bells in the pouring rain. The rain caught me off guard. My plan required us to stay in one place, so we all took a direct aquatic hit. On the plus side, this is a workout I won’t forget. I tip my hat to 14 gentlemen who leaned right into it. I tip my hat a second time to everyone for farmers carrying all the weights back to my car. High impact men everywhere you look at Shepherd’s Watch.

16 HIMs for the best 33 minute workout of the day!

Yogi had the Q and started off with a speech. Then out we went for a big lap around the church back to the southwest portico for warm-ups. Back to the flag for the thang.

The thang was 11s with burpees and squats…including a longer than necessary explanation of 11s so Term Paper could understand.

After that was completed at 0605, we circled up expecting extended Mary…but got extended COT instead. Captain Jack should be proud as COT concluded right at 0615.

We welcomed FNG Dookie to the fold. Shout out to Monday FNG Bobby Hull for completing a Yogi 3 pack on his first week!
