It was, in fact, a beautiful day at Stonebridge. After the pledge and some stretches, we set out for some pearls on a string. We traversed Ten Ten multiple times as we made our way to Trinity Church. We stopped at every intersection for some LBCs. We then circumnavigated Trinity stopping at every light pole, alternating between merkins and. Squats. Then we returned to the flag just in time for some Chilcutt. The traffic was heavy but OTW kept everyone safe.
Prayers for Kitty Litters coworker who lost his son at 19 yo to a motorcycle accident. Lord be with that family in their time of grief.

Today was my birthday Q and my identical twin (Choo Choo) made the trip from N. Hills to get our day started off right!

Started with the pledge and then some light leg stretches. Slow moseyed and painted some lines on the way to the Whole Foods parking lot to warm up. Imperial Marches, Side Straddle Hops, Good Mornings, S.Cary stretches, and finished with an unnamed exercise that nobody liked.

Moseyed around the perimeter of Waverly Place and then set up for Thang 1: 4 corners. 4 exercises were named but not all of them occurred at a corner. Gotta listen to the instructions closely!
• 25 Squats
• 25 LBCs
• Lunge walk
• 10 Monkey humpers
We then did another round of 4 corners identical to the first lap.

Thang 2 was similar to 4 corners but without the corners. We started in the feaux grass and make a lap to return to the starting point.
• 15 WW2s on grass
• 15 Calf raises on the stairs
• 15 Jump squats
• 15 Step ups on pool wall
We then did another round that was identical to the first circuit.

>From there, we moseyed back to flag with an “all you got” mixed in along the way. Mary Abs consisted of H2Ms and Low Slow Flutter Kicks before calling “Have a nice day.”

Another fine morning in this wonderful SCary region we call home, and a privilege to be at the finest 0530 Friday AO this region has to offer.

Just like my last Q, no site Qs, but at least this time we had warning, so the Thunderstruck flag made it’s way north. No FNGs, so we hit the pledge of off we moseyed.

At this point I was disappointed to learn that the automatic traffic lights only work when the site Qs are present, so we had to wait a brief moment to cross Tryon. Successful navigation and warm-ups in the Craft parking lot. Head on over the greenway and mix in some merkins along the way. Even found an honor bench for Term and Bubba at one stop. The Q always has to look out for the pax. At this point Tinkertoy feared we were going to be running all morning. Have no fear, trust the process.

Somehow we ended up at the tunnel. Sounds like a great place for some 21s.
H2H and CDDs. With a twist! Stop in the tunnel for a 15s People’s Chair each time you pass through. We started at 8/13 much to the chagrin of some pax who thought 7/14 was a better starting count. Properly ignored we carried on with the original plan.

Mosey back to the church mixing in some monkey humpers and overly ambitious lunge walking along the way. Back at the parking for a patent pending 4 corners of Mary (LBCs, American Hammers, Freddy Mercs, VUps). 2 rounds then back to the flag for a quick round of 100s. HAND.

Another great morning with this fantastic group of men. Don’t take what we have for granted.

11 strong for partner accountability laps around Kildaire Crossing pool – burpees for the high achievers – followed by a set of 7s on Mt Chaumont. Mixed in some Mary along the way and back right on time for COT and Circle K coffeteria. Prayers for Bubba and family and Morpheus’ next career move.

Somewhere in the neighborhood of 22 HIM showed up this morning and got stronger at the (I’m told) first ever low running PB workout ever. (Cleverites excluded)

We trusted ourselves to fate and came out the other end a little bit stronger and a lot a bit sweaty. Many have some more burpees under their belts. Some have many more burpees under their belts (looking at you Jpuff!)

It was an honor to lead you fine men this morning.

9 PAX set out for what Francois says was the “world’s greatest Ocho” while 15 stayed for a birthday boot camp.

Brief mosey, celebrating YHCs 40th birthday with 40 SSHs, followed by standard South Cary stretches.

The Main Thing was a modified Webbicide — shuttle runs Set 1 with merkins 5/10/15/20/25/30/35/40 (apparently 40 merkins is pretty tough). Set 2 was Freddie Mercuries, and Set 3 Low Slow Flutters. This gave us a nice run/bike/swim triathlon this morning, and we covered 5k.

Back to flag for COT. Announcements include summer SWOLEstice tomorrow — EH or re-H the PAX. Bourbon Chase in October–only a few spots let– HC before they’re gone! Prayers for Bubba’s dad Jim and for Term Paper’s family.

Thank you HIMs for being an encouragement as I’ve been on this fitness journey since last summer. Hitting my 40th birthday today in the best shape of my adult life, and excited to keep it up for the next 40!

Strong dozen this morning at Thunderstruck!

Mosey over to the Glenridge Country Club for warmups where the Pax chose the long route over the short route.

>From there we set off towards Penny Rd for county land. We stopped at every turn to do two reps of a given exercise, adding a new exercise at each stop. Sounds of monkey humpers at Spade and Staubach’s (old) houses.

Back to the shopping center for a 4 corners with squats, LBCs, lunges and H2M. Mosey for a bit and then back to the flag for popcorn mary. A strong 3.58 miles covered.

I will be the 1st to admit my NC State  trivia may not have been completely correct but we did get a little bit more ripped because of it.   We started of with a mosey to the far side of the church for some Abe Vigoda’s,SSH’s and Merkins.  We then proceeded back to the Parking lot by the soccer fields and really never left. We did a series of out & backs and took a moment to remember those men that are struggling with mental health issues and that F3 gives you an outlet to communicate amongst your peers. We did escalating boat/canoes, WW2’s, LSF’s.  Laps around the large pickle were completed and many of topics were discussed.  One thing we did learn is Stephon Diggs will have a great season with the Texans @wide right.

We ended back at the flag with prayers  for @Unitards brother John who is having surgery and concerns over his insurance and a friend of mine who will be having heart surgery next week.  Thanks @Flounder for your excellent knowledge of NC States hoop trivia.

Just enough for the over betters as 19 of us gathered for a “Walker” workout.

Walker run (bataan death march style) with last pax doing 3 walker irkins and then catching up to pass the coupon to the last guy in the line and moving to the front. It went better than expected.

Arrived back at the shelter with pax alternating between scented candle loop and doing various exercises, Walker accompanied the pax on the loop.

Stationery 11’s with Irkins and Dips.

Started 5:15 with a little 1 mile EC with @Grisham and @Tinkertoy. Began Q with a little mosey to church west entrance where there were some balls-to-the-wall, seal claps, dips and step ups. Additional mosey to east lot with some Carioca mixed in. Over to Brueggers for some bear crawls and lunge walks with a break for some stretching. High knees down the trail, with a sprint run. Followed by a round of rock curls, presses, extensions and rows. On the way back we added some snow angels, and low plank holds. Finished at the flag with some core work and more stretches. Good time had by all on this Good Friday.
