3 for EC + 6 for ME for a slightly higher pace and distance than normal.

Admittedly I had planned a longer distance EC and ME targeting 9 total (3+6) miles and due to watch unfamiliarity missed that mark slightly, yet we still arrived to COT a minute behind. Will the negative legacy of questionable planning and execution linger?

Legacy: You’re leaving one whether you want to or not. Do the small things today with intentionality. Be cognizant of the legacy left to you. The lasting examples we all noted were mostly actions observed rather than directions states to us. Realize that as much as we’d like to control and manhandle the legacy that we leave, it is often beyond our control and better to raise prayer for certain things.

9 Bootcampers and 6 Accelerators were out this morning. After Pledge we moseyed onto greenway for a partial neighborhood tour. We made 1st stop at cul-de-sac for warmups and then were back on the greenway to make our way over to the Thang: Triple Nickel w/ Merkins on the hill where YHC grew up. We then moseyed our way back to the flag with some Pearls on a String along the way just in time to squeeze a few extra Merkins in.

The PAX felt inspired to call several audibles along the way which YHC obliged. Fruit Loop gave his seal of approval of the tour. Great fellowship this morning fellas.

A dozen goombahs set out on a mostly-run workout with perhaps the most Jersey Italian guy in SCary.

The Pax were advised to stretch prior to the workout, as is recommended in Freed To Lead. We departed promptly at 0515 as we had much ground to cover. Ran about a mile to the Regus parking lot where we did a warmup round of 10 American Hammers, much to Hermes’ disappointment as he said we were wasting precious running time.

We then proceeded through the pathway behind Lifetime to get us over to Ritter, where we did a flyby of the Stonecutters crew and flag. We also stopped for a quick Thang which included 20 pull-ups OYO and while you weren’t going pull-ups, you did burpees. Once everyone was done, we ran the greenway back to Regency Pkwy for a set of American Sledgehammers. Then we went up to the Caterpillar parking lot where we did some catch-me-if-you-can and then did a round of American Sledgehammers at the location where that exercise was born 3 years ago. Back to the flag as the clock struck 6.

There was a lot of disappointment today. Hermes didn’t get the all-running workout he wanted. Enhancements didn’t get his Good Mornings. All I wanted was a coffee and some pound cake, but after hearing about how that would cost $7 at Starbucks, we decided to head over to NYBD instead, where I felt right at home. MIAGD.

Site Qs along with the flag were on spring break. We started out with jog down the greenway Indian run style. Next we ran up the hills and under the Kildaire bridge with merkins at the top of each side.

Mosey to Ritter Park for some abs and arms. A few pull-ups there as well.

8 mins left and a mile from the location the flag is typically posted so hustle back for a have a nice day.

Coffee was not had but pollen washing is needed. Astro did not attend.

Eight set off to test my new watch. Headed to Ritter for some dips and erkins, up the road for some quick good mornings, then over to Harris teeter for the thang. 7s across the parking lot with merkins and pull ups on the cart returns. Couldn’t figure out my watch and started to worry about time so back to the flag. We got back with time to spare so a quick fly by of monkey humpers for the smelly billy strings fanatics already camped out at koko.

14 went over the bridges and through MacDonald Woods. Ran into our friends from FWD miles out from their flag. Audible was called on the home stretch to grab an extra half-mile.

Started off “promptly” at 0530. Warmup to the hill. Hill repeats with merkins at top and bottom. Indian run up the hill then around the lake and then up the hill to the parking lot, stopping for core exercises along the way. Made use of the “oval” for intervals at varying paces.
