Busy, hard working bunch this morning for some cardio cone work, obstacle course through the playground, basketball relay race and an intense Dads vs kids capture the flag game to wrap it up. Kids technically got the first flag capture and the win, but a headfirst full extension dive into the sandpit past 7 kids by The Super to start a late flag capture rally deserves kudos and a call out.
Wrapped it up with Juice Muffins and Z Bars… fun start to the day!

Great time today! We started with the mission and pledged allegiance to an imaginary flag in the sky, followed by a loop around the parking lot and circled up for a few warmup exercises (SSH, merkins, LBC’s). Then we went over to the baseball field, where we did a few laps around the bases and did a set of exercises (squats, rocket jumps, bonnie blairs) each time we got to home plate, and then some more exercises in the outfield. We learned about picking up the six, which did not quite go as expected when the six turned around and ran away from the oncoming crowd. Then we did some pearls on a string along the Swift Creek Greenway (which of course included burpees as requested by the PAX ) until we reached the bridge at Kildaire Farm Road. We practiced yelling under the bridge, and proceeded to do 3 sets of exercises while yelling the counts as loud as we could. Then we ran back to the playground and did an obstacle course and some dad-assisted pull-ups. Gatorade was enjoyed by all. Welcome FNG’s Dinosaur Roar, Butterfly, and Everest! Prayers for all the kids returning to school soon, and a few who are starting at new schools. Time well-spent on a Saturday morning.
