Yogi was the Q and led the charge with 52 Card Pickup! Each PAX pulled a card in rotating fashion. Diamonds resulted in diamond merkins, clubs required squats, hearts were burpees and spades were WWII’s. Within each suit ace = 15 reps, kings = 13 reps, queen = 12 reps, jack = 11, 10 = 10, 9 =9 and so on. Let’s not forget the Joker = 10 of any choice exercise. The deck was split in half with one stack uphill and the other down hill with an 80 yard hustle in between. All PAX pulled cards.

9 started with the pledge and a group to get things going.
A mosey and the a Ring of Fire. Multiple rapid fire exercises were had.
Moseyed to the hill and a story was told of how Baylor University came from the pits of basketball success to winning a national championship using the JOY method. Jesus, Others, Yourself. 7s were then done on the hill.
Moseyed over to the water tower and performed merkins and jump squats in the mailbox drill.
Moseyed back to the flag with COT and words of wisdom.
Positive attitude and being an example. How we treat others, how we react to adversity, how we act as Christians.
Finished with a group clap and prayer .

Pledge, then stretched to classic rock of Aerosmith, moseyed to the muster point.
Alpha Team did a fandango (a dora with a cone annotated with a challenging exercise, after completing the team returns to join PAX at muster point) Bravo Team did a circle of pain strength training with weights-focusing on ‘resistance’- slow & deliberate movements. Alpha & Bravo did 3 rounds.
The ME-sled pull Alpha vs Bravo-pull sled 50 yards with one passenger, at the line passenger jumps off sled does 5 burpies and sits on sled, then team pulls to finish line.
With just 2 pullers Bravo Team was victorious.
Mosied to flag for PAX-led Marys.
HGTV was granted disgression to veto any Mary suggested but he ‘resisted’ his own grumpy nature.
In celebration of Respect & Honor week the PAX shared stories of wisdom regarding marriage, children relationships and how we can inspire who we love by listening to their feedback and being always respectful.
Guys were given the ultimate gift of a free F3 logo tattoo on their calf- some men chose to do both calfs.
HGTV is now working on a special ‘tramp stamp’ , for some PAX this may require some manscaping.

What’s Up Scary!

A very pleasant morning it was over in the land of up lighted $2M+ houses, pineapples and doggy treat vending machines (WTF).

21 gathered for the ME and I was thrilled with the group of men who decided to join me at JIU this am. A solid group of guys I wish I saw more often (gotta get over to Scary more often).

Started with a 1 mike pre run with Amway, Astro, Chipper, Kitty Litter and Home Grown. EHarmony was out on a ruck.

Pledge.

Standard Warm Up.

Mosey to the Big House Neighborhood for Mr T. We found some hills along with our inside voice (even Yogi and me) and worked the T along with a POS.

We all (we almost all) did 5 burpees every time the words What’s Up were said. I think we did about 40 extras.

Back to the park for a flawless Motivator.

Wrapped up with a set of 140s. Joe Smiff was confused. I really miss both Joe’s and JP’s voices. Smooth.

The bootcamp was a lot of running in circles and sometimes carrying coupons. Team 2 beat Team 1 with 28 laps compared to like 7 or 8…but I trust their score was accurate.

OK enough about the workout. The best part was after we took off from the flag. As we circled the lot @Term Paper looks to the paviliion and sees a group of guys and says, “Oh look there’s some guys, wow they are even doing the pledge…..and have a flag!” That’s when pax politely filled him in that that was SWWINGERS! Bhahaha!!

It was a great morning – well the company was, the humidity was NOT. Make it a great weekend!!

9 PAX joined 00Pope on an adventure of a lifetime to the Ritter paevillion. Upon arrival they were met with the task of playing Yahtzee!

Dice were rolled, cinderblocks were lifted, a lot of penalty burpees were had. Cauliflower is still the most competitive of all of us.

The playlist was perfect because nothing happens in F3 by accident.

We worked out, we fellowshipped, we prayed at the end.

If you don’t have someone to talk to or share with, find a trusted friend. If you don’t have one – I’ll listed for as long as you need. We all need someone to talk to.

The rain Gods were kind to us today and the Heavy metal Gods were out with a playlist of 1980s British and LA bands good enough to make you wish you still had your mullet.
