What a glorious morning to lead the the PAX.the weather was fantastic and the fellowship was even better. We started out with 2 laps around the church and quickly circled up for some SSH’s and good mornings. Next up 11’s in the parking lot (Merkins on one side Boat Canoes on the other). From there we headed over to Mookies Pickle and did 11 merkin/boat canoes at 3 corners and 12 of each at the final corner With about 10 minutes left we took the long way back to flag and proceeded to plank hold while random pax jumped rope.

3 + miles was achieved and we hit 100 merkins & boat canoes.

We had multiple ruckers and a big turnout of folks for the EC.

Grateful to lead the pax and prayers for Petey, My M for a speedy recovery from her surgery and safe travels for Sparky as he heads back to Wisconsin.

What’s Up Scary!

A very pleasant morning it was over in the land of up lighted $2M+ houses, pineapples and doggy treat vending machines (WTF).

21 gathered for the ME and I was thrilled with the group of men who decided to join me at JIU this am. A solid group of guys I wish I saw more often (gotta get over to Scary more often).

Started with a 1 mike pre run with Amway, Astro, Chipper, Kitty Litter and Home Grown. EHarmony was out on a ruck.

Mosey to the Big House Neighborhood for Mr T. We found some hills along with our inside voice (even Yogi and me) and worked the T along with a POS.

We all (we almost all) did 5 burpees every time the words What’s Up were said. I think we did about 40 extras.

Back to the park for a flawless Motivator.

Wrapped up with a set of 140s. Joe Smiff was confused. I really miss both Joe’s and JP’s voices. Smooth.

Much to the YHC Astro’s chagrin another FNG named Jared was not named Subway. 0 for 2!

It was beautiful morning at Lake Lochmere. We had runners, ruckers and boot campers. Yogi gladly took the Q. We moseyed down to the lake and in a rotating fashion Yogi cranked out Thang 1: merkins, dips, burpees, carolina dry docks, WWII’s, LBC’s mixed in with sprints midway down on the red rail and back. Thang 2: we worked at grass dam and moseyed down the path behind the dam and around the disc golf course. We hustled back to the flag and finished with some Mary.

Six HIMs ran for 4 miles at around 9:45 pace discussing raising Godly kids in an Ungodly world. Discussed the dangers of technology, being good examples for your kids, the birds and the bees, and the pressures of growing up in today’s world. Great fellowship and discussion. Feel free to thread any suggestions, reference material, tips, or any other things that you have found helpful in raising good human beings. Yogi lead LNL COT and TR took us out. We ventured off site this morning after Mission, Pledge, and warmups. We moseyed into Summerwinds neighborhood making some stops for merkins, Bobby Hurleys, CDDs, LBCs, & squats. Eventually we made our way down to the lake via an inconspicuous greenway entrance. After a short stint we exited to apartments after stopping for some irkins at playground.

Thang 1 was rotating bear crawls, crab walks, backwards run, and Carioca up to the top of hill at apartments. We exited out to sidewalk and turned back into Waverly for Thang 2: BLIMPS across Whole Foods parking lot. There was still some time to spare so we got a round of Four Corners w/ hand release merkins in before moseying back to flag.

I’m trying to fully recall JIU this am. Likely the most memorable was the realization of where the extra Picnic beans went….directly to TinkerToy. Today we experienced a random and unpleasant atmosphere around him. Apologies did not save us. Although this @Bubbles character remained an enigma, Tink revealed that he may be, in fact, the true bubble maker in the bunch. The drop for each burpee was like falling through low lying blanket of campfire smoke or fog one can see in a pastoral valley on a winter’s day. But a minute is a minute and we were not allowed to leave until the exercise was finished. Because that’s how we roll. Beyond that it’s a good thing I showed up to save that Q slot from this bubbles guy. A hearty EMOM took us over hill and dale, 20 exercises mixed in and we MIAGM despite the shenanigans. Pushing the PAX. Master brewing site Q gave us coffee that was on point.
