We walked.
Actually, I was a little surprised by the number of PAX who turned out to simply walk. In fact, many folks said they posted specifically because we were simply walking.
Food for thought.
So, we walked. We traveled from Ritter Park to Hemlock Bluffs. I am happy I listened to the wise counsel of the PAX who suggested we go in the park. Suck it Apex! In the park, we spent precious distance time doing squats but at the end of the day, a new distance record was set so all is well. I called “Have a nice day” at 5:59 AM and I think we logged a tick or two over 2.5 miles. I suppose I need to remind the PAX that I’m not dead yet as folks stepped up to eulogize me during announcements. Again, I suppose, food for thought.
Thank you everyone for coming out this morning. As it appears there is a desire for this kind of workout, I suspect it will come around again.

We ventured off site this morning after Mission, Pledge, and warmups. We moseyed into Summerwinds neighborhood making some stops for merkins, Bobby Hurleys, CDDs, LBCs, & squats. Eventually we made our way down to the lake via an inconspicuous greenway entrance. After a short stint we exited to apartments after stopping for some irkins at playground.

Thang 1 was rotating bear crawls, crab walks, backwards run, and Carioca up to the top of hill at apartments. We exited out to sidewalk and turned back into Waverly for Thang 2: BLIMPS across Whole Foods parking lot. There was still some time to spare so we got a round of Four Corners w/ hand release merkins in before moseying back to flag.

A few announcements and a bunch of prayer requests this morning.

8 PAX for a 7 themed workout.
No flag so we started with the mission instead. It just felt right to say something.

Mosey to the Tesla chargers for warmups. South Cary stretching was definitely in play (no pigeon though, we weren’t totally mailing it in).
Mosey west up the hill to the church for a set of 7 of diamonds. One exercises each round done at each corner of the diamond. Reps of 7, 14, 21, 28, 21, 14, 7.
Term Paper and Kirkland had a very high WRR, impressive stuff. One discussion was the Merkin Ring of Fire Buzz so we tried it out back at the non-flag. PAX count & merkin but every multiple of 7 or number containing 7 was stated as “Buzz” and the direction of the ring reversed. When PAX fail, restart at 1.
I am proud to say we set a new world record at 53 (previous record 50… your reign is over Franklin) and were still going strong but elected to call it on a high note.
Ended with 1 McDuck.

Ventured to Carpex to attend the Next Level AO at Next Level Physio. Pull ups are hard.

Some studs kicked things off with the Sherpa loophole EC, YHC not included.

For the ME we set off to the medical complex/old folks home. I was alerted that for 3 who attended 88mph this would be the second time this week. Perfect reason to attend an alternate Monday mid-tempo SCary workout! But I digress…

Theme of the Thang was “Spiraling Downhill”, an homage to our lives. After a few audibles to find the right pickle length, we settled into a non-standard DORA with the pickle being up the stairs and spiral back down the ramps.

We capped that by performing 1 McDuck. The PAX really struggled with the name.
Hustled back to the flag in time for a bit of Mary.

9 graciously gave up their morning mileage and sat in a circle and talked – about goals and fears and pride and obstacles. I’m so grateful for it. I have so much respect for each of you. I wish we’d had twice as long together. Let’s look for opportunities to continue these conversations.

I’m not sure how to describe this morning’s workout. I guess incredible experience for me to be in His story, to be able to step up, step out and share. You all make it better by being there. Carpex guys, Green Level, Peakcity, Churham….appreciate all you F3 men, wanting to be being part of His story, too. Receive the gifts. Keep your hands tight around it. Only two letters of the alphabet were needed this morning as our workout featured a whole lot of S’s and W’s and even more W’s.

Quick warmups featuring South Cary Stretches and an overview of the exercises to come.

We worked through those exercises at different parking lots, with the exercise names corresponding to the letters we were making in Strava art. Stifler’s mom’s, Star jumps, Squats, Side straddle hops. Worst merkins ever, WWl’s, WWII’s, War hammers, Wide grip merkins. Back to the flag for a set of Astro jacks because…..well, you know.

Of course the pax suspected something was up, but none could quite figure it out.

Many prayers were raised up. Announcements included Stations of the Cross at SWW on Friday, and the upcoming SCary picnic. No other representatives from any other events were present, so there’s probably nothing else going on. MIAGD.

Warm up at walgreens – 88 SSH, fewer GM, IW and SFAC. Run up the Chase parking lot. Some work in the lesser utilized lots today – Chase, Burger King and Bank of America – Partner work, alternating catch me if you can and fellowship runs – star jumps, merkins, squats. After 2 laps around each of these buildings, the group moseyed to Farmside. While Captain Jack extolled us with the health benefits of eating there we did dips, irkins and knee ups – 2 rounds each. Back to the center shopping center for Buzz, Lunge Walks, Crawl Bears and some stair work. Learned that stair work is not popular and that Chops can’t count. Back to the flag for one more quick round of Buzz. Announcements included Highland Games and Picnic. Prayers for Petey, upcoming “thing” for OR. It was a pleasure, thanks for having me.
