What a glorious morning to lead the the PAX.the weather was fantastic and the fellowship was even better. We started out with 2 laps around the church and quickly circled up for some SSH’s and good mornings. Next up 11’s in the parking lot (Merkins on one side Boat Canoes on the other). From there we headed over to Mookies Pickle and did 11 merkin/boat canoes at 3 corners and 12 of each at the final corner With about 10 minutes left we took the long way back to flag and proceeded to plank hold while random pax jumped rope.

3 + miles was achieved and we hit 100 merkins & boat canoes.

We had multiple ruckers and a big turnout of folks for the EC.

Grateful to lead the pax and prayers for Petey, My M for a speedy recovery from her surgery and safe travels for Sparky as he heads back to Wisconsin.

What’s Up Scary!

A very pleasant morning it was over in the land of up lighted $2M+ houses, pineapples and doggy treat vending machines (WTF).

21 gathered for the ME and I was thrilled with the group of men who decided to join me at JIU this am. A solid group of guys I wish I saw more often (gotta get over to Scary more often).

Started with a 1 mike pre run with Amway, Astro, Chipper, Kitty Litter and Home Grown. EHarmony was out on a ruck.

Standard Warm Up.

Mosey to the Big House Neighborhood for Mr T. We found some hills along with our inside voice (even Yogi and me) and worked the T along with a POS.

We all (we almost all) did 5 burpees every time the words What’s Up were said. I think we did about 40 extras.

Back to the park for a flawless Motivator.

Wrapped up with a set of 140s. Joe Smiff was confused. I really miss both Joe’s and JP’s voices. Smooth.

JDI ran an out and back to Henry’s house where we stopped and said some prayers for him. Thanks for your support today. Some have asked if the family needs anything right now they have what they need, I’ll reach out if something comes up we can help with.

The first 10 minutes were a blur!  After the warmup we moved into celebrating my 42 years around the sun with 8 perfectly selected exercises followed by a pickle. 42 reps each. Lt Dans was the PAX favorite. Other favorites included Merkins, Sumo Squats, V-Ups, Reverse Lunges, American Hammers, Jump Squats, and one more exercise that escaped my mind. But we did manage to keep Term’s khakis clean!!

Took a break in the set of 42s for RoshamBURPEES. Paired off. Two PAX plank position, rock paper scissors shoot, loser does 1 burpee. Repeat loser does 2 burpees. Repeat loser does 3. Repeat until 10 burpees are reached. Winner does equal amount of merkins.

Ended with CoT. Introduced new FNG Kitty Hawk today. Hope to see him out there next week!

6 met for some non hill climb agility work at Ken’s personal courts. We started with a quick disclaimer and then the pledge. Off we mosey through the dark to the brick courtyard for warmups.

SSH, Sir Fazio, calf/runner/pigeon stretches, Imperial walkers. Let’s mosey.

Start at the trail crossroad and paint the yellow brick road switching sides at each park bench. Stop for a 10 count and the six. Head to the courts but drop for a merkin at each bench along the way.

Pickle Ball time. I know nothing about the sport but we found a pickle and spelled ball.

Switch courts to PASS the time. Shoot a free throw to determine the rep count, but that’s too easy. Line up on the baseline for suicides. Last man back shoots.

We learned a few things, a youth ball with less than optimal air and no court lights is challenging. Also that Lite Brite not a boy delivers pastries but also points! We were 1-5 on the shots but 6 rounds of suicides was a crowd favorite.

2 Scary, 1 honorary Scary and 12 misc dudes showed up at GT for some laps and crazy stuff with 40, 50, 60 and 80 lb sandbags. This marks second week in a row where ATcD used those coupons. Since our next stop is SCary, hoping to stop the insanity.

No flag was present, so the pledge was bypassed. Then the warm up was forgotten, much to Snip’s dismay. Not a good start. But the PAX were delighted when they learned we were going to be playing Oofda ball. Much like corn hole, but with golf balls and penalties/prizes for making or missing the hole. PAX enjoyed carrying the boards around various Koka Booth parking lot spots and playing a couple rounds at each spot. Snip won with most balls in the hole and earned free coffee and a box of golf balls. It’s been a great 7 years with F3. Looking forward to the next 7.
