4 dads and 9 kids converged on Ritter Park for a very dadsy-boot camp. After a warmup in the parking lot and a round of animal walk relays, we pearls’d with 1 Burpee at each stop out of the park and back around through the Baker Roofing lot into Ritter.

This morning’s animal-themed workout started with a review of the 3 F’s, then Armstrong led us in the pledge, then Spirit led us in a full speed warmup lap around the parking lot. Warmups consisted of various animal poses led by Spirit and a few called by fellow PAX.

We ran to another parking lot to do a variety of animal-themed relay races. The boys won 2 races, the girls won 1 race, and the dads won 1. The dads will need to train for next time.

Then we played kids vs dads capture the flag it was fun at first but didn’t end well….

SCary’s most dangerous AO claimed another victim and this time it was YHC…after a swift and heroic move capturing the flag, my getaway was foiled as I promptly slipped on the concrete and scraped up both my knees and dislocated my finger.

Special thanks to Jigglypuff and Sbarro for stepping in to help finish the last few minutes as YHC was bloody and somewhat disabled.

We finished with animal crackers (of course) and Gatorade. YHC was a bit disillusioned and forgot I had a whole carafe of coffee in the truck. Maybe I’ll save it for next month, LOL

14 swarmed Ritter Park for a mile+ of shenanigans including warmups on the bball court, kid lifts in the shelter, a loop of backwards run, bear crawls, and bunny hops, then the ME.

The thang – the GARAGE SALE. We brought a bin full of treasures and split into three teams. Each team needed to collect one of each type of treasure and bring them back to their cone. In order to get to the bin, you had to backward run, bunny hop, or bear crawl, and to procure an item, you owed 5 of your favorite exercise. The garage sale administrator is flush with Side Straddle Hops in case anyone is in the market.

Mosquitos chased us from that spot prematurely, so we recollected on the basketball court for CHAOS MODE soccer. Two teams, three balls. Only minor injuries sustained.

COT on the bball court where we named Feeny’s 2.0s – Futbol Boy and CR7! Theme was strong today. MIAGS and MIAGW. Great to be encouraged by you dads this AM, grateful for your examples!!

Busy, hard working bunch this morning for some cardio cone work, obstacle course through the playground, basketball relay race and an intense Dads vs kids capture the flag game to wrap it up. Kids technically got the first flag capture and the win, but a headfirst full extension dive into the sandpit past 7 kids by The Super to start a late flag capture rally deserves kudos and a call out.
Wrapped it up with Juice Muffins and Z Bars… fun start to the day!

Big Rivalry coming up between the Chiefs & Ravens, oops Eagles. Started with the rules & pledge, all flawlessly executed. Followed by child & truck (parked) collision (ouch!) Thang 1 was the football basics running & passing. Thang 2 a little green light / red light with burpees as penalties. Thang 3 move to variation of sharks & minnows –>Chiefs & Ravens/Eagles. Last was pearls on a string kids choice of exercises.

Overall successful day, over a mile was covered. Honor to lead. Only minimal talking back to the Q from Augmenteds daughter.

1st ever SCary Dad’s workout!
YHC was excited to see 2.0 FNGs present. Mission statement was explained, pledge executed before kicking off the warm-up.
Armstrong and Snorkel shot out of the gate strong way ahead of the PAX! Warm-up and stretching on the baseball and then a few laps on the playground obstacle course.
Next the PAX headed to the Greenway for what ended up being a little more than intended. Some 2.0s were eager and some faded fast due to the distance covered.
We got a quick water break before heading to the basketball court for some knockout and Mary.
