Today we celebrated by reaching a 2 mile goal, doing a BLIMPS along the way.

Celebration. Sharing our gifts. The M and I went to a fundraiser last night. Was amazed at the amount of wealth being donated in live auction format to meet monetary goals for a Wake Co. ministry called A Doorway to Hope. This org helps families and individuals in need across the Wake. We contributed where we could but the point is that all these people gathered and doing their best to share. Regardless of status, social placements, where you’re at in life, etc., we all have unique gifts. These gifts can and should be shared. It’s ok to celebrate the fact that you can share, use your gifts, your strengths to help others. Gifts can be anything – wealth, skills, etc. Doing this within F3 offers unique opportunities for each of us to help others. There are lots of events thru the year that F3 guys create and promote. Last night’s event reminded me that we need to celebrate those guys, those ideas, that joining them is the right thing to do, to help them to help others. Celebration helps get the word out.

KISS THE HILL BABY!! A couple of us HIMS decided to build muscle the best way we could.

Started promptly with the pledge, mosey, and warmups.

Arrived at the valley of death fora 4Q drill:
*Run the Hill (down, up)
*Top of Hill – 10 burpees, 20 WW2’s, 10 hand release merkins.

Rinse and repeat for a total of 4 times.

Started off with a mosey to the dock and some warmups. The standard south Cary stretch was intentionally left out….that’s for those running people. Then on to derkins, irkins, merkins across the bridge. Moseyed over to the tennis courts for a lazy Dora consisting of plank hold/LBCs & squats & merkins. Next we grabbed a block for squat to over head press followed by running the pickle. Finished up with a little Mary.

Started this beautiful morning with the pledge & a quick 3/4 mile mosey.
Thing 1 – CDD & WWII – 7s or 11s on the hill (depending on how much of a HIM you are)
Intermission plank hold & Dad jokes
Thing 2 – parking spaces 4 & 10. Bear crawl 4 spots then 10 merkins repeat to the end of the lot. Repeat with lunges & squats.
Finished with popcorn Mary and ring of fire.

4 double dipped this morning and joined Yogi at a #ao-sat-jellystone for its final voyage. It started with 10 rounds and we ended it with 10 rounds with Tyson. Mumblechatter was strong and the only thing stronger was the grunt from the Q. He wanted to end on time but we pushed him through the final 20 burpees together.

Yogi would like to thank those who showed up when he needed it. However he was blessed with a new job and is now on his normal schedule. Park is closed folks! The bear will see you at Loch-n-Load!

Nice cool morning for our Saturday AO. Started the day off shaking off the VQ jitters by waking up ahead of the alarm bell and arriving early. Did a solidarity partial EC with HGTV himself before getting the ME underway.

After the pledge, we limbered up with some dynamic stretching and did some Vinyasa Yoga with some cycles through runner and warrior poses.

We did some circuits with the infamous lock n load pain sticks as follows.
Round 1 – squatsx10 and calf raisesx20
Mosey lap
Round 2 – Americansx10, crunchesx20
Mosey lap
Round 3 – tricep extensionsx10, curlsx20
Mosey lap
Round 4 – upright rowsx10, bent over rowsx20
Mosey lap
Rinse and Repeat

Saved the last 10 minutes for a bit more yoga and a circle of popcorn Mary.

4 fine gentlemen met on this extremely humid morning to get stronger.
After a warmup run we did several stretches and headed off to a partner pickle with merkins and lbc’s.
Next we performed a train of pain with burpees, merkins, American hammers, Mike Tyson’s and jump squats.
Finished with high knees, karaoke and pickle pounders.

HUGE REVEAL at JIU as the Mystery Q was revealed to be YHC.
Sheep loop, warmups, and on to thang 1: DUDES DORA. The content and format will remain a mystery to those not in attendance, keeping on form to the Q.
Thang 2 involved rock work where several enthusiastic HIMs got to brave the giant rock selected by French Lick. What an honor.

9 Pax plus 1 Ocho for a Pearls on a String. After a warmup, mosey around Lochwood West stopping along the way for a variety of non-repeating exercises of the usual type. Then to the dock to try and see the paddleboard crowd, finding them far away on the lake. Bridge work including sprints and then one more trip back to the docks specifically to monkey hump the waterbound pax. Sadly, too far away for them to see us, but we did it anyway, because we’re men of integrity and they’d do it for us. It’s the honorable thing to do. Finish at the flag. Thanks for the opportunity to lead and for joining in on a typical humid Saturday in Cary.
