Shut-In 10 year anniversary Q at A Team with 26…many of whom had been doing this a long time. Including approx 7 that I think qualify for the rip count.

Workout included 7s, tennis court movements/B2W, rock work and unclear instructions. Congrats to Shut-In, a real HIM of HIMs, on a great 10 year run and tremendous impact in and out of F3!

4 for a non-:turtle: EC down to Kildare and back. An additional 30 gathered for a New Year’s Day Region-Anniversary Site-Launch extravaganza! We had an FNG, so we stumbled through the mission and core principles on the way to a FOLLOW ME around the small pickle to the dock for warmups. The PAX counted off by 1s and 2s and we headed for the rock pile.

Kitty Litter kept the 1s for rock work and Jigglypuff took the 2s for 7s on the hill. We flipflop’d after 10 minutes and repeato’d. Reconvene to put the rocks back and mosey to the flags.

At the flags, Mary consisting of the exercises created by the PAX last year – the M2H, Stingray Merkins, Stifler’s Mom, and CFH2M. Serious thanks to OTW for breaking up the motif – maybe we can explore a different part of the body this year.

COT where we named FNG Bruce ‘DeVito’ since he is the self-proclaimed shortest of his brothers. Hope to see him out again soon!

Prayers lifted up for Jerry’s family and for the new babies in our region (Brie spoken, Renfield unspoken). Huge praises for 2025 and our region – what a privilege to be a part of this and push to make each other better every day.

7+1 Rucker traveled into South Carypex for an improvised itinerant workout on the 5th anniversary of my first post. We ran past a louder and larger than normal exercise group to the terrace where we did flying warmups Sidestraddlehops, Hillbillies, Irkins, Thesouthcarystretch. The main thang was triple nickels: squats at one end, merkins in the middle, SSH at the other end, 5 at each stop, 5 rounds total.
After that we made our way to the swingsets for an inchworm ring of fire.
Finally to the basketball court for Mary: 50 LBCs, H2M, and some more pigeon.

Yet another great day to be outside in the gloom, the rain, happy to be together, counting our blessings and deciding how to share in this glory we are given. After welcoming an American coot, sorry, I meant F3 Mud Duck from the Hickory area, the PAX grabbed a single traveling rock, wondering what was in store. We painted lines for a long time, turning in different directions as we did so. Stopping periodically to do warmups. Did a Circle Burp where a PAX called the down. Then we move on for a full set of 7 of Diamonds (jump lunges, 1/2 squats, Frog ups and hop squats), then a long version of catch me with hand release merkins all the way back to COT. Another double down tomorrow starting 0545 SWW then over to SW at 645. Christmas party coming 12/19, Toy Drive happening NOW (see 3rd F and COT channel for those details). Unveiled new region flag. The ceiling broke perfectly timed and our 2ndF Q was ready for us. Full breakfast that could not be beat. Thanks fellas. Appreciate you.

0530 hit as pax were still getting situated. YHC kicked it off with the full blitz F3 welcoming: Disclaimer, Mission, 5CPs, and Pledge then we mozy’d off to Lowe’s to warm up.
(in the meantime what we didn’t know is Brie was just arriving and instead of peering over at the shopping center he went medical park and missed us!)

THANG 1
20 squats with heels on the curb (someone said they are Stiletto Squats? Haven’t heard that before but I’ve noted for next time!)
Increasing exercises at each parking spot divider: 1, then 2, 3, 4, 5 and then run back for the next set. Each set different exercise: Merkins then Burpees, then Mtn Climbers.
As I gasped for air on the burpees I saw my heart rate hit 170. Everyone was pushing. There were no Mailmen at this workout.

THANG 2: Medical park now (sorry Brie). YHCs car was waiting for the pax with a plethora of coupons. Cindys , #35 plates, and a kettle bell. Partner up, and partner with coupon does a repeating Squat, step, Curl, step, Press, step working his way around the pickle. P2 is running the pickle back to P1 and they flapjack until the pickle is completed. Mileage and Strength…win win!

Back to the flag for a Plank O Rama, followed by COT. YHC has adopted a new COT disclaimer so pax of all walks of faith understand F3 is for all men and faith backgrounds. It goes sorta like this if you want to replicate it in some fashion, “F3 ascribes to no specific faith and isn’t a Christian organization. The Q is welcome to end the workout how he feels led. Being that I’m Christian i’ll take us out the way I know how, which is prayer.” And then I said “Ball up!” ha! Which now I want shirt with a picture of a COT and it says BALL UP! above it.

11 HIMs braved the gloom this morning as well as an impromptu Q by YHC. And what an opportunity it was! Things started a bit clunky, but once the safety cell phone was located we were off. We moseyed, we weaved, we warmed up. The PAX were chatty this morning so the mumblechatter was properly reined in. Then off we went to the bridge where we lunge walked to the half way point and high knees the rest of the way. Next we completed a round of 7s with LBCs and merkins. We then went back across the bridge by lunge walk and backward run. YHC heard a little grumbling and that was just the inspiration that was needed to take the PAX back to another hill where we completed a round of 5s with squats and CDDs. Oh yeah, 5 burpees were thrown in for good measure. Finally, we headed back to the flag for some mary and HAND.

Announcements were announced and praises were praised. Thanks for the opportunity to lead this great group of men. Coffee was also on point.

Sometime your Winke is way too long, and while that usually is not the case for me, it sure was today. I continued the theme of Culture Week in which we focused on Leadership and FNG’s. Astro, Bubba and IC Light shared their F3 stories during our warm-up, and then we did roughly a 2 mile mosey with stops along the way with the ABC’s of F3. At each stop, the PAX had to say a workout corresponding to the letter we were on, and every PAX had to participate. The PAX who called it, led the workout. KittyHawk and Dookie experienced leading an exercise for the first time, which was great to see. On the way back, there was a few comments about safety, mainly from the downrange PAX. We only completed to letter P before the end of the workout, and didn’t even get to Thang 2 on the winke. Looks like I need to take a shot at Qing MOAB some time given how long my winke is. I missed my bald brothers today as there was way too much hair represented today. Thanks for the opportunity to lead, and I look forward Q’ing SW sometime in early 2026. MIAGD.

Another great SCary morning! YHC started with some 3rd F chatter, mission and core principles…then a big reveal no one saw coming…A CO-Q! Gravel Mouth!

Gravel led us over to Whole Foods for an expertly led warm-up and then over to the wheel of pain in the courtyard where YHC led a thang of spins, stacked exercises, and pickles.

Gravel took us over to thang 2 on the hill by that building where Grisham almost got run over for 11s with wide grip merkins and lunges. YHC was on safety patrol. Dookie flew by at one point.

Back to the flag for H2H, pickle pounders and the very different Marge to Homers.

Bowling, TCP, WNC toy drive. Praises for 15 years of marriage for Bubba.

7+ for a stonecutters style workout replete with hidden messages and unanswerable questions. After a lap and brief warmup we moved on to the Thang. Run to a corner, do reps of an exercise, return to the middle for 7 star jumps, repeat on the other 3 corners. Repeat counts were 19, 20, 15, 14, 5 which French Lick figured out spelled STONE. Exercises were Gas pumps (by the CircleK), Overhead claps, Alabama asskickers, and Turkish getups (which everyone realized spelled GOAT). We actually skipped the final round in order to get to the trivia questions which were intended to be a mix of impossibly arcane and just plain unanswerable. We ran or flying nun’d from corner to corner based upon the whims of the Q. Questions:
1. Why was Stonehenge created? The pax got this wrong.
2. What structure won the “Supreme Award” at the Institute of Structural Engineers annual Structural Awards in 2010? Though there was an attempt, the pax were unfamiliar with the Stonecutters bridge in Hong Kong.
3. What does the Latin phrase “Novus Ordo Seclorum” mean? French Lick nailed the translation of this phrase found under the pyramid on the dollar bill: New order of the ages
4. Which came first, the chicken or the egg? The pax got this wrong too.

Mary included LBCs and CFH2M (held awkwardly long in order to give a show to OTW and TP who joined from the premiere Thursday AO).

Sometimes in our lives we are the keystone and sometimes we are another brick in the arch. In all of those moments we are connected to, supporting, and supported by the ones around us.

Astro and Olsen went to Carpex to find the answer to the question everyone has been asking…”will Half complete his first post ‘Rona turkey??”. Thrilled to say the answer is yes!

Shut-in was also the Q and it is his birthday. There was a game that involved two teams, extended explanation, hiding cinder blocks, some exercises, talking about doing the game differently for round 2 and then not doing round 2, some running and some walking around. Choose your own exercise at each light pole on the way back to the parking lot.

Term Paper was sipping iced coffee with granulated sugar at the bottom and did not attend.
